Captured Forever

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever…it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” ~ Aaron Siskind

Faux Picnic

April 20, 2011

Amanda, Sylas & Kayden – West Hylebos State Park, Federal Way, WA

Amanda, Sylas & Kayden live just minutes away from West Hylebos State Park and had never been there. We knew it would be a perfect location to do their family photo shoot. There is an old cabin, wetlands, trails and a picnic area. Plus, the weather was perfect considering the spring we’ve had so far.

Kayden was very excited to run around and play. He loved the natural things he found lying around – twigs, flowers and rocks. It were those same twigs, flowers and rocks that we used to get Kayden’s attention for the family photos. Several rabbits even came out to watch them get their picture taken.

We asked the family to lay in the grass for one of the shots. It turned out to be a great shot but just not “the shot” we were looking for. As we were contemplating another pose, Sylas and Amanda started playing with Kayden and we got this amazing shot. It truly captured the moment of a family having fun.

A wonderful sunny day was enjoyed by all and we gave the rain the slip again. Be sure to check out more of Amanda, Sylas & Kayden’s family photo shoot soon on our website at TiffanyRobert Photography.

Maternity – Part One

April 16, 2011

Maternity Shoot – Our House, Des Moines, WA

For those of you who don’t know, we are expecting a boy around July 20th and have been doing a lot to get ready for his arrival. His room was recently painted and his crib setup. We thought this would be a good time to take some maternity pictures.

This picture of Tiff turned out to be my favorite. Tiff is not one to take a picture without looking at the camera and smiling. So, I was glad that she was willing to give it a shot. The picture turned out amazing and she loves it. The picture totally captures what she does everyday – holds him and dreams about him.

We are going to have several maternity shoots and this was Part One. We will load up all the pictures on our website at TiffanyRobert Photography real soon.

Sweetheart Dinner

February 12, 2011

Citadel Sweetheart Dinner – Cornerstone Community Baptist Church, Kent, WA

The Citadel is a christian youth group with a mission to impact the world. They do community outreach programs and events like the “30 Hour Famine” which raises awareness about world hunger. The Citadel is funded through donations and held their annual dinner to raise funds to support there efforts.

One of my favorite pictures of the night was captured on a ladder. This is a group shot of the Citadel group that put on the wonderful dinner.

Another favorite picture was this one. This Citadel member was a great musician that played a couple of instruments and provided the evening entertainment.

The Citadel group did an amazing job putting together and hosting the fund raising event. We were glad to be a part of it and help them out. Their effort and dedication were recognized in the amount of money they raised as a result of the oustanding job they did. They are also selling individual prints from the evening to raise additional money. Keep up the good work guys!

≈ Windy ≈

February 12, 2011

Naber Family – Museum of Glass, Tacoma, WA

We were up for a huge combination of challenges with the Nabers photo shoot in Tacoma. It was cold and VERY windy, along with two little ones who were not enjoying the weather. (The littlest one almost got knocked over by a gust of wind!) The threat of rain was also looming as well. We just worked through the challenges and wound up with a great set of photos from the day! The boys were troopers and stuck it out. The boys really opened up with Robert being goofy and jumping around allowing me to get some great family photos.

Dominic has been known for his amazing lashes since he was born, so it’s a no brainer that this would become a favorite photo. It doesn’t really need an explanation.

Once again, we beat out the rain. Check out The Naber Family Gallery on our website at TiffanyRobert Photography.
